Hmmm, something's not right:
That figure came from the "environment" page. And since I delete the "temp" folder before I start my node, tempfiles are not it.
However, I discovered that the "store" directory is still about 4GB (a good sign), so I stopped fred, deleted the index file and restarted fred. Waited for the interface and launched my browser. The second the "web interface" hit the screen, booom, kernel panic again.
Rebooted again, deleted index, started fred. Seems happy for now and the datastore is back to it's original size (but my routing table ref count went from about 2500 to about 800).
I'll keep you posted on the further adventures of my node/datastore.
