I mean much simpler than that, just a way for an admin to say "my IP
has changed, set it to this now". Anybody who can forward a port from
the NAT machine to their freenet machine knows when their IP changes,
and can set it.

Also, on a more careful reading of your suggestion: most NAT
setups don't forward connections to publicip:forwardedport if they
come from inside the NATted network.
