As someone who has static IPs on a domain I control, I may be in the minority, but I really enjoy the ability to put a DNS name in for my node address. it means if I have to reassign IPs to any of my machines, all I have to do is update my DNS records, and all the references to my node stay valid. This type of thing is, after all, what DNS is for. It's not a big deal, and the amount of work to integrate (C) looks like it is out of proportion to the benefit, but it would be nice. ----8<---- -- Current soundtrack: 'The Gossip - Thats Not What I Heard - 01 - Swing Low' Homepage: http://danky.com Get Freenet: http://groovy.danky.com:8891/mF0-1AcFb3s/ PGP Key: http://danky.com/keys/danello.pgp
