that seems to work - however, there is still this annoying message (and another message prevents my box from shutting down when freenet is still open... seems that that dialog window says no to all WM_QueryEndSession messages). whichever i choose there (ok or cancel), windows hangs. (screenshot for the two messages (German, Windows ME) at http://home.arcor.de/mschierlm/test/freenet-shutdown.png, http://home.arcor.de/mschierlm/test/freenet-exit.png) BTW: that question box appears on a win98 box as well. I guess that it would even come on a win95 box (I think i've seen one that looked like this on win95 as well, at least when i tried to close dos boxes) So, if you cannot fix it cleanly, put a windows version check in and use the old behaviour (that one with javaw) for win9x/me and the new one (with java) for nt/2k/xp/everything else. or state that freenet is only for nt/2k/xp - which will make you lose quite lots of users. (although the number of freenet developers that use that oses seems to be quite low) mihi _______________________________________________ devl mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hawk.freenetproject.org:8080/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
