I can't do a representative benchmark because my node is never on for long and rarely has load beyond 2000, but so far the client VM (much as I hate to admit it) performs better with incremental gc than server with incremental. So far:
server + gc < client +gc but server - gc > client - gc.
So people running heavily loaded nodes should test server - gc vs. client + gc and server + gc vs. client - gc
Please don't be quick to dismiss the server VM because I've been using it both on windows and linux for a while without any problems, its also faster with FEC stuff.
