I noticed yesterday that there is an important nio improvement with 1.4.2 of the Sun JRE (final release). I don't remember exactly what it is but it has something to do with a finalizer that was taking way too much time to execute with a note that it affects code that opens a lot of connections. Maybe everybody needs that!
