Freenet stable build 5001 is now available. Get it from
http://freenetproject.org/snapshots/ or use the update utility.
Major changes:

Background fetch the frontpage bookmark links on startup and whenever
they are changed.
Eliminate a spurious 16kB buffer per connection, could save 8MB on a
busy node.
More work on the simple/expert stuff from Iakin, it should now work -
there is a config file default, and you can change it on the fly, and
you can save it to a browser cookie.
Fix the pre-initialization for interfaces, services, servlets. This
means the Distribution Node will now start attempting to fetch missing
files immediately, which was broken since 599.
Fixed some NullPointerExceptions
Downgrade the waited 5 minutes messages, mostly they are caused by
external phenomena or the JVM not realizing a connection is closed for
a while.
Updated keys for Windows installer bits, which have recently been
modified.
Made KeyException a real non-runtime exception, and handled it all over
the place.
Added greycat's script "fmonitor"
Kaffe build fixes
Add new diagnostic counter "readinessSelectionScrewed" - counts 0 byte
reads after the socket was marked as readable - also remove from logging,
so debug logging shrinks significantly with this build (!!)
Workarounds and detection code for UGLY, EVIL JVM bugs that seem to be
causing hangs on the write selector thread waiting for new jobs and not
waking up when they arrive.
