I fired up 5026 again, and after it had been running for 5-6 hours
I started getting intermittent periods of very high CPU use (load
average ~5 and the whole system felt very sluggish in X, particularly
when using mozilla).

Here's a snapshot of the Environment threads usage at that time:

Thread Pool
Total pooled threads 60
Available pooled threads 28
Pooled threads in use 32

Pooled Thread Consumers
Class Threads used
freenet.Message: DataRequest 3
freenet.Message: QueryRejected 1
freenet.OpenConnectionManager$ConnectionJob 3
freenet.interfaces.LocalNIOInterface$ConnectionShell 1
freenet.interfaces.PublicNIOInterface$ConnectionShell 11
freenet.node.states.data.DataStateInitiator 12
freenet.node.states.request.RequestInitiator 1

I've attached a bzip2'ed thread dump as well.

Note that the thread dump and the information above were produced
*before* an OutOfMemory errors have occurred. At this point, the
node is still functional.
