I'd require a hashcash token. Something that would require on the order of 60 minutes work on an average machine. (Skewed based on how much effort it would take you to insert the file. Make them pay a good fraction thereof) As long as the "sharing" user keeps a database of spent tokens there should be no problem. Mallory can't block a legitimate user from getting the file by having it inserted, (since it's then inserted) and the "sharing" user requires Mallory (and legitimate requestors) to spend as much effort as him. --Dan
