This would mean stable has NGRouting, and if you put NGRouting in stable it's going to have to be trumpeted. "NGRouting now implemented! Sliced bread shamed!", and so on. And *that* means it's going to have to be rock-solid build, or at least wet-clump-of-sand-solid, lest the next headline read, "Much trumpeted NGRouting sucks!", no matter what it is that actually sucks. What I mean is, merging unstable to stable, and thus releasing NGRouting to the masses, will have bigger-than-normal implications for Freenet's image.
