Definitely something evil has found its way into the node.
Thanks for validating my report, and confirming it's not the client's
fault. Also, for narrowing it down to node versions.

Hey freenet devs, any chance of fixing this one?

(no, I don't know Java and don't intend to - I'm a client writer, so
unfortunately I can't be recruited to fix this myself).

It is a critical node bug - a complete showstopper for anyone using
splitfiles over FCP.

In the meantime, I might recommend that the 'official release' be
temporarily reverted to build 5020.
