DOS is supposed to be hard to do against freenet. You probably have the stable (5028) build. Try the unstable version, which closes these "dead" connections. If that fixes it, you should remove the block in your firewall. Download:

I am running the unstable build 6215, because the 6220 goes mad after a few
hours, and never used the stable tree. I can't say if it is really a sort of
DOS or if this node is just a bad build. But in any case it totally blocked
my node and maybe does it to some others. For the next time I have to watch
the Open Connections page closer, but since blocking these node it looks way
better. Only active connections which are receiving or transmitting data, no
single connection sitting there and wasting a slot.

Maybe you should post part of your servlet/nodestatus/ocmContents.html to show what you're talking about. The developers will have an easier time helping you if you do.
