Yes, I'm still not sure why it ends up with all the CHECKED_HTTP stuff, as the original files contain just straight http://127.0.0.1:8888 links. Maybe it's fiw that's doing this? I need to investigate further. Or is this an automatic precaution on fred's part? Anyway, it's a start.
