Freenet stable build 5040 is now available. Upgrade via the
freenet-webinstall.exe update utility, update.sh, or get the jar from
http://freenetproject.org/snapshots/freenet-latest.jar .
Everyone should update as soon as possible because of the nature of the
change:
Fixed a major anonymity filter bug. It was possible to insert a
'webbug', circumventing the filter, because of a bug in the filter that
let malicious authors insert links or even inlines to external,
internet, non-anonymous sites.

The corresponding unstable version is 6355.

What should we do about 0.5.2.X ? New linux users will most likely
download the last major release, which a) is vulnerable to this bug, and
b) uses the classic routing algorithm.
