After a lot of trial-and-error (and a few stupid blunders), the spider-based index of "unstable" sites I've been working on is now looking pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.
The new key is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]/DFI// Hopefully, the more people use/bookmark this thing, the better it will work. Still trying to get some of the other search engines to update/add this.
