There are Gentoo packages, thanks to Thomas[D]. I currently don’t use them, because I have a special setup including ramdisk and stuff and did not yet migrate that to the official packages - and because I want to have the simple auto-updater - but the packages are there and work. I essentially even built my openjdk with gcj¹ (instead of using a binary for bootstrapping), because that allowed me to run freenet completely sourcebased, knowing that no binary leaks could poison it. And it’s darn cool that this is possible. Due to that, you can actually compile a complete freenet runtime environment beginning with the platform- dependent assembler, so you could audit all the code you run, from the ground up. ¹: `USE=gcj emerge gcc && emerge icedtea` (and some fiddling for ant and such) Best wishes, Arne -- Ich hab' nichts zu verbergen – hab ich gedacht: - http://draketo.de/licht/lieder/ich-hab-nichts-zu-verbergen
