Nothing prevents you or anyone else from implementing this; gateway mode more or less works now, although admittedly only for basic fproxy browsing, and it can probably be DoS'ed easily enough. An FMS gateway would be a lot more work, however a contact has talked about implementing one - if he could raise the funds for it.
