As of sometime yesterday afternoon (right around when Oskar and I were
both wrestling with the negative port-number problem), my server and client
both started generating the error
java.lang.IllegalMonitorStateException: current thread not owner
at Freenet.Conduit.run(Conduit.java:135)
This message is from JDK 1.1.8; Kaffe's is less detailed, but otherwise
the same. I also noticed my server hung last night, which I suspect is
a result of this error.
The error makes no sense to me. The aforementioned line occurs within a
"synchronized(in)" block. How can the thread not be the owner?
