Yeah, the 'insert some record indicating my IP' proposal has surfaced a
couple of times in various forms.  In general its as hard as an update
problem, only worse, since the information in the document lasts for only
a very short time, so unlike most of the update proposals, it *may* not be
very sucessful.  I'm by no means calling it dead, though.  Other thoughts?
