Like it or not, freenet is a peer to peer information sharing tool, Gnutella and Napster are probably the two best known information sharing tools, therefore it makes sense to explain the difference between Freenet, and these pieces of software. By ignoring the fact that Freenet is considered to be similar to Napster and Gnutella we will not make it go away. It is a much more honest approach to tackle this head-on, rather than burying our heads in the sand.
