the advantages and disadvantages) in the installers.

I think the default answer to the question should be on. When a privacy
violation occurs, it will be reported as a horrible and fundamental flaw
in our architecture which can only be solved by this host of P2P solutions
companies. Which I find just distasteful. Then again, it's totally
obnoxious to have filtering turned on all the time (and so is receiving
all PGP-encrypted mail, but that's life). Of course if we make it an
option tht's prompted for then choosing the default is somewhat a niggling
detail.
