From: "Mr.Bad" <[email protected]> > Why don't you just set the HTL to 90 (BAD WRONG BAD!) in your > freenet.ini or freenetrc file?
Because it often makes sense to change the HTL for a single request. Upping the HTL in freenet.ini makes most requests slower - a lower HTL is good for most files. But sometimes you may get a "File not found" error, but you're thinking "This file MUST be there", so you try to request it again with a higher HTL. -Stefan _______________________________________________ Devl mailing list Devl at freenetproject.org http://lists.freenetproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devl >From - Sat Apr 21 18:03:38 2001 Return-Path: <devl-admin at freenetproject.org> Received: from hawk.freenetproject.org (postfix@[4.18.42.11]) by funky.danky.com (8.9.3/8.8.7) with ESMTP id PAA31756 for <danello at danky.com>; Fri, 20 Apr 2001 15:32:05 -0400
