This is the reason I created the Wiki several months ago. There is
already a Wiki page on publishing at:

 http://freenetproject.org/wiki/index.php?Publishing

This is prominently linked from the homepage. It is still a-little
sparse, however people can easily improve it, and I would encourage them
to do so.

Similarily, there is a Wiki page intended to provide a resource for
those hoping to understand Freenet's internals, it can be found at:

  http://freenetproject.org/wiki/index.php?Internals

Again, it is far from complete, but adding to it is extremely easy.

I want to redesign the website prior to 0.5, and again, there is a Wiki
page dedicated to this at:

  http://freenetproject.org/wiki/index.php?NewSite

Tom Longson created a mock-up of the new site which I think is a great
blueprint (linked from page above), although I think that the menu, with
over 25 entries, is overcomplicated and intimidating.

My hope is that the new site will:

* Have a more pleasing look and feel than the current site, I think
Tom's proposal is a great stride in this direction
* Allow the various different types of visitor to the site easy and
quick access to the information that interests them
* Is more seamlessly integrated with the Wiki to ease and encourage
  improvements to content.
* Retain the multiple-language features of the current site

Unfortunately Tom seems to have gone into hibernation, so if there is
anyone out there with an interest in spearheading this process, please
let me know. They should be familiar with writing standards compliant
HTML, and PHP.

Ian.
