Because the shoe fits? With a 2/3 chance of picking a fairy tale

Write it, and it will be on your harddisk...

There cannot be a 0.5 specification yet because we haven't even settled
all exactly how we want it. That is what Adam means about chasing a
moving target.

I really don't think that having alternative implementations of software
that is in an experimental phase is such a great idea. If you have an
itch for coding and want to help, then the reference implementation is
definitely in need of good coders at the moment.
