Phew! OK, fixed. Again, try the downloads, the Windows install is up
there too.

And a file downloaded from Freenet will have different attributes
depending on whether it was split while in Freenet?

You can omit the multipart file clients. The Manifest format is not final
and should NOT be used.

I know the CPU overhead for encryption or decrypting a byte of data versus
the performance of your network. Theres no way its 200x. =20

BTW, the size discrepancy was because the .jar file wasn't compressed.
Strange, eh? I guess gzip and pkzip have much better compression than
.jar files.

You forgot to make the unix scripts executable before you put them in the
tar.

No, I alway WinZip my freenet.jar with max compression and gzip isn't
that much better. I rather supect that already compressed files have a
bad influence pn file size when embedded in another zipped file.

True... I don't have a 4 Gigabit network in my apartment. Maybe
in a decade or so.

Actually, no, I didn't. But the tar built in to ant seems to have
blown away the exec perms.

I'll spent some time trying to get ant to do that (no documented way,
checking the ant source...), but in the meanwhile I've done a
hand-built tar that should be up there in a few minutes.

Thanks,

I noticed the freenet_config script was not in the tarball.

And of course we are still clobbering .freenetrc and .fproxyrc.

Has anyone else noticed that the fproxy gateway on the 0.3.7 tarball
release is borked? I get:

HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found Connection: close Content-type: text/html

Network Error

Couldn't retrieve key:

OK, I've got these problems fixed:

        - gateway.html not added to the .jar
        - freenet_config not added to tarfile

...and these should be up shortly.

One that I can't figure out is how not to clobber existing config
files. The .deb doesn't do it, but I don't think we can make a .rpm
not do it. One option is to have an install script in the tar file
that wouldn't clobber, but I don't think we want to wait on that for
0.3.7.

.jar files are .zips -- you can use PKZIP to unpack them (or to create
them).
