Very sorry for that :-(

Okay looks like my if statement doesn' t work under R.
Could you please send me the /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.58276 and I will
check this. (if it still exists)

This is because the install-process itself works (guess),
but the distro dependent switch which does the chkconfig to insert
the service doesn't work.

This is okay ... Of course not, but expected.

Mmm, there are still files in /var/lib/freenet thats no prob.
Grr, groupdel before userdel bad mistake :-(

No this should be the standard .-files which get installed for every
normal user. Wrong groupid.

Yes.

If you would like to ensure that you System is really clean, if you
haven't done it already. As root:
rm -rf /var/lib/freenet
userdel freenet
groupdel freenet

If something went wrong again, drop me a line. (Grummel, very sorry!)

Okay we stop this here I will make sparate spec files for SuSE and Redhat
and check everything twice for the next and hopefully last try. (Which
will work!) Don't expect a new try bevor Monday evening.
