Well, there have been about 82 new nodes since I posted that email
yesterday.  If someone is artificially creating new nodes, they must
control a significant proportion of the IP address space since the nodes
which are joining are all on diverse subnets.

I don't know whether this activity is typical, I plan to measure this
over the next few days as it is interesting.
