Hi, Would it be possible to set transient=yes for default? The average user won't know what's this, and leaves it as default... and someone who is experienced enough to run a 24/7 host on the net is more likely reads the documentation, and can turn off the default transient setting... (the same could be done in the linux version).
BTW: The FAQ says: " A later version of Freenet may take better advantage of transient nodes." I'm patiently waiting for that version, which I think will be an important milestone... utilizing the storage capacity of the PC of the average user, where the PC is on only a few hours a day. This would increase the number of nodes, and there could be a lot of cached documents on a lot of nodes, and copies of the documents would pop up and disappear as transient nodes join and leave the net.
