It's just like DRM!

I think that if They want to spend their money developing software to
solve our puzzles then that's a nice waste of resources and we can come up
with different puzzles. The worst thing that will happen if a puzzle is
broken is that there's an advance in AI and all the lists get spammed for
a few days (we can keep puzzles in reserve and release them right away).
Maybe I can event some puzzles and then They can hire me to break them.
What fun! But really, the people with the free resources to break puzzles
are generally not against us or else can just hire a mass of puzzle
solvers anyway.
