Actually there is a flaw in this scheme. The problem is that in "mc carthy" mode, each node has selected two rings on which to transmit, yet what happens if these rings are dropped due to flooding? Well, the node will be forced to select another ring - or simply stop transmitting, further reducing the uncertainty as to its identity. If this happened a few more times, a node might lose all anonymity as it is forced from one ring to another. There is probably a way around this, but I have to put my thinking cap back on.
