I just tidied up the way this works (it was *ugly*). Basically, if you want your infolet to have access to the HttpServletRequest object (from which you can easily obtain things like CGI parameters and such-like) simply implement toHtml(PrintWriter pw, HttpServletRequest req) ...rather than... toHtml(PrintWriter pw) When you subclass the abstract Infolet class.
