No, actualy, that is what you would think it should do but in fact it does not. If you check the patch, you can see the code in question here. The code checked for a key that started with SSK@ CHK@ and KSK@ but had no provisions for freenet:SSK@ etc. I just added 3 lines that would allow freenet: to work - give it a try on your node - try to request KSK at foo then freenet:KSK at foo, the second will generate a warning and you will have to click the 'go ahead and do it anyway against our strong warning' button/link.
