I decided to get back on the bleeding edge trail and upgraded from
stable to unstable.
I tried build 627 and then today 629

Four odd things occured:
With build 627 (and maybe earlier)
1) On startup I get a whole bunch of :
(freenet.node.rt.DataObjectRoutingStore, main): Removing orphaned property
in my log. I would not be normally concerned except that it does this
everytime and point 4)

2) Immediately after interfaces are started up I get:
(freenet.client.http.InsertServlet, Interface # tcp/8888): WARNING:
fproxy tempDir not set.
(freenet.client.http.InsertServlet, Interface # tcp/8888):          Set
mainport.params.servlet.1.params.tempDir in freenet.conf/ini.
when clearly it is set since I set it long ago when it complained about
this before. The line that I use in freenet.conf is:
mainport.params.servlet.1.params.tempDir=/tmp/freenet/
and that used to work. I do have permission to rwx to that dir.

3) On startup I get:
Dec 10, 2002 5:42:02 PM (freenet.node.Main, main): read seed nodes
Dec 10, 2002 5:42:02 PM (freenet.node.Main, main): Initial refs count: 0
Dec 10, 2002 5:42:02 PM (freenet.node.Main, main): seeded routing table

Looking in my node status it looked like I still had a full routing table.

Regardless, things seemed to be slow but still getting freesites until ...

build 629
3) I get a steady bunch of:

Error: *Route Not Found*

Attempts were made to contact 0 nodes.

    * 0 were totally unreachable.
    * 0 restarted.
    * 0 cleanly rejected.

Looking at the servlet/nodestatus/nodestatus.html it looks like none
were even tried.

Are there some incompatible routing table changes that make a complete
rebuild of table necessary?
Going back to 0.5.0.7 , the start up indicates the same as problem 3)
but freesites are accessable again.

Mike
