OK some ideas:

Freenet Is Running (No Gateway) - An amber version of Hops.
Freenet Is Running (No Internet Connection) Non-transient nodes - An
alternating exclamation mark and a variation of the working offline that
Mozilla uses in the bottom right hand corner.
Freenet Is Running (No Internet Connection) Transient - Perhaps just
have it as black without the blue behind it.
" Freenet Is Having Problems " - Alternate with an exclamation mark
instead of the dot thing.

Apart from those everything else is fine and pretty clear.

Just my opinion. Be nice to hear if anyone can come up with something
better.

Simon
