I didn't do an exhaustive test, but at least two of the hostname entries in Ed Tomlinson's list (taken from the small group that are not dynamic DNS redirectors) have a duplicate entry for the IP number, with a healthy number of successful contacts. This leaves a lot of questions unanswered (why did dragon.taral.net have 257 all unsuccessful entries, but "1845 1780 0 66.25.132.47" was the entry for the same host's IP?) but it does at least reassure me that the named nodes are not actually being ignored. I haven't looked into the possibility that there might be two nodes on the same host, one giving its IP and the other its name, however! -- Roger Hayter _______________________________________________ devl mailing list devl at freenetproject.org http://hawk.freenetproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/devl
