okay, so in an attempt to desperatly try and redeem myself, I finally got off my fat lazy ass and learned python's distutils stuff.
nothing has changed in http://www.dspaudio.com/~jaymz/fishstream-0.0.8.tar.gz, except for the fact that (a) people other than me can build it (b) the process for this is documented this time (c) it should work everywhere. theoretically, it should build on win32 as well, but it probably won't. I'm not at home right now, and hence I don't have access to a windows machine (haha, most people don't get linux at work, i don't get windows at work. go figure :-p).
