You are correct that edition sites are generaly more
reliable then a DBR site, after all the data can exist
on the network with out having to be inserted each day
which is good. However, do you really think it is a
wise idea to have the most dynamic part of freenet,
that which deals with new sites getting added daily,
linking to edition sites which are a total pain in the
ass to maintain links to? The DBR rule only exists on
TII because it links to sites whose content is
expected to change on a constant basis. Also, your
issue will be negated in the future as more and more
indexes are added (Personaly, I would like to see on
the order of 20, 30, or more up to a resonable limit)
so if one is not inserted (evident by the fact that
it's active link is not showing up), you can just skip
over to the next one that has the content you want.
Redudency is important and expected in the grand
scheme of TII.
