I removed the log attachment, but suffice to say, if you feed a file of
about 5-10meg to the FEC encoder under certain circumstances, you get an
out of error message from fred, and it closes the FCP connection very
disgracefully.
I think it should at *least* catch the exception and return an FCP error.
examples of errors from the log I didn't attach:
FEC encoding failed for /home/klaus/homepages/E-Jukebox/mp3/Prodigy -
Smack My Bitch Up.mp3 5484170

Logs of the 1. try: attached
Because I saw in the freenet.log:
29.10.2002 18:46:07 (freenet.node.Node, QThread-555): Error while receiving
message freenet.Message: FECEncodeSegment @c669d7c733ccdf23 in state New FEC
Encode java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
I added the -Xmx256M option to the java command in start-freenet.sh and
started a 2nd try. It's still running ....
Thank You for Your patience
- Klaus
