Yes, it's been seemingly dead for most of this summer, and the version
that was out (1.0.1) previously was not that wonderful building and
installation-wise, but a new version is out with actualy binary
tarballs with documentation and an installation Makefile. (Previously
the binary distribution was based on raw gzipped executables).
