I tried to get the following changes to the SplitFile spec made two weeks ago. http://hawk.freenetproject.org:8080/pipermail/devl/2003-January/003373.html 0) Change -- Checksum was added to the InfoPart not the SplitFile. This is implemented. I think we have agreement that this can be added to the spec. 1) THIS SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE SPEC. 2) THIS DESPERATLY NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE SPEC. But there are still unresolved objections. 3) THIS DESPERATLY NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE SPEC. But there are still some unresolved objections. 4) I added this in an attempt to make life easier for client authors who for whatever reason are not using FCP FEC commands. There are unresolved objections but it is not worth my time to fight over it. I move that 0, (as modified) 1, 2, 3 be added to the spec immediately at least for the case of redundant SplitFiles.
