I was trying to get a page on TFEE when this appeared in my browser
window. Not in the logs, but in the browser window. I have never seen a
strack trace in the browser before. Did I hit some really weird bug or is
this something recently implemented?

Possibly related, I have been getting errors like this in my
logfile:

May 10, 2003 9:31:21 AM (freenet.fs.dir.NativeFSDirectory$NativeBuffer,
QThread-9857, ERROR): Renaming

failed! - permissions problem? store split over multiple filesystems?

My datastore is not split over multiple filesystems and all of my files
perms in temp are like so:

-rw-r--r-- 1 freenet freenet 525121 May 10 11:11
temp-fce411fa9e73ee59-1-d28bedd710d9f3671711921abb2a4b125c537fc9130302

Hmm...I only seem to have 3 of those in my logs in the last 24 hours but
they are still suspicious.

Also note that the enormous memory consumption issues I reported a few
days ago seem to have been resolved. At some point ages ago it seemed my
node was running into the 128M jvm limit so I added -Xmx384MB to
start-freenet.sh. This caused the memory to balloon up to 500-600M over an
hour or two. I removed that line and now my node consistantly uses 80-90M
and seems stable. Still may be indicative of a bug somewhere though.

And while I'm at it have there been any leads in the insert problem? I
just can't get my freesite inserted with FIW no matter how hard I try. FIW
inserts successfully (eventually), tries to retrieve, fails, tries the
insert again, etc. I watched it do this over and over on the same chunks
all day today. This might go along with my idea that data is disappearing
from the network faster than it should not to mention that I've got a 50G
ds which isn't exactly filling up all that fast (barely half full after
weeks of running). fred should be trying very hard to use up all of the
disk space allotted.
