What a subtle plug for Unixen.  Would this even be possible under Windows?  
I mean, for the operating system (i.e. no software you had to install) to 
provide such an "external supervisor process"?  I don't code for Windows, 
could someone who does tell me if such methods are available in a Windows 
operating system?
