There is a new CVS branch. It is called "experimental". For now, it will have the nio code. It is a full branch, unlike zab's nio minibranch, which I had several major CVS-related problems with. I plan to merge unstable back to experimental occasionally, and when stuff from experimental is sufficiently stable and useful it will be merged across to unstable.
