Ubernode.org will now provide DNS service for anyone who is running a freenet node, if they so choose. Simple append [UB] to the front of your node name, to indicate that it's desired- Note- you will need to restart your node for this to take effect.
To be honest, It, like all of ubernode.org, is an experiment. I'm not how well it will work, or if all. It's entirely opt-in, but I found it useful. I set it up because none of the DYNDNS clients I've used worked very well- I found that freenet kept track of it better than any of them.. So I might as well get my home IP address via Freenet. After implementing, I realized others might want to do the same sort of thing. I've set up a page about it at http://ubernode.org/name.php Ideas welcome. -Colin
