All this metric measures is now much better could we have routed requests if there was no backoff. It makes no attempt to gauge how close to the actual target we were. Are you suggesting we want to measure this too? I am not entirely sure what you are suggesting here... > Oh and misrouting has one S. :) And variables should start with a lower > case letter.
