IMHO installs would work better if: - We get rid of the config panel in the installer. - We always download the plugins, and ask the user about them in the first-time wizard (where necessary). - We always install auto-start, and in the installer, warn the user close to the beginning. We can provide a kill-the-autostart script, and even put it on the start menu, but we should not have to ask the user whether to auto-start: we should just do it.
