I'll add testing of the new version and the Novell version to my TO-DO. 
The Novell version is probably more trusted after all.

What do you mean about "verify that the EXE is intact"?

That is correct, unfortunately. Perhaps a future update will add Vista 
support. Deletion of the user profile folder by the uninstaller is not 
critical, but obviously should be done (in any case - still an 
improvement compared to the current installer which doesn't even try).

An alternate solution is to "blindly" do a delete command against the 
path we believe to be the user profile folder. The path should be 
predictable most of the time, but will not be in *all* cases. Worst case 
scenario is probably that we make a bad guess and delete nothing at all 
- but in theory we could delete a wrong user profile folder.
