Freenet 0.7.5 build 1307 is now available. Please upgrade. Changes include:
- An mp3 filter. Most mp3's will now Just Work, i.e. be sent to the browser
without a warning.
- The Downloads and Uploads pages now load instantly.
- Fetching a key automatically checks the cache, so if you have already
downloaded a file, it can be accessed immediately.
- /download/<key> and the Download link linking to it have been removed. Click
the key instead.
- One reason for this was /download/<key> would not warn the user about
dangerous content and would not filter stuff that can be filtered.
- However you can still get the data on disk from the downloads/ directory, or
click on the key and download it from there.
- Add a free blocks cache for the persistent temp blob file.
- This speeds up allocating temporary space for downloads significantly,
avoiding a lot of unnecessary database accesses.
- It also makes defragging work a lot better. My blob file went from 31G to
4.4G in around a week. This should resolve the blob file uses too much space
problems people have been reporting.
- As a side effect of some code simplifications, the blob file is limited to
64TB. We will fix this later. :)
- Fix the problems with FCP, particularly not listing everything and
duplicating many messages in a listing. This should fix external queue managers
(FUQID, Thaw).
- Fixes for datastore stats.
