Launch Freenet from systray, Wed, 18 Nov. 2009

The discussion referred to an installation of Freenet on a Windows 7, 64
Bit system and the conflict between Freenet looking for the Install
Location in the registry. What I do not understand is if you install
Freenet and it drops its stuff into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of
HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Why wouldn't it then look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE For
its stuff?

I'm using a 32 bit Windows XP Pro system of which Freenet put its
installation values in the registry into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE just like in
the discussion [see - Posting
<http://www.mail-archive.com/devl at freenetproject.org/msg24023.html>]
regarding windows 7, 64 Bit system.

Would a fix be to simply move the subkey values from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
into HKEY_CURRENT_USER? This being that Freenet wants to look their
anyway. I don't know if windows XP 32 would stomach this sense it has no
installation-uninstall values any ware but in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Except
it does have installation-uninstall values in HKEY_USERS. Perhaps that
would also be a place to tell Freenet to look. I'm not sure what can be
done here or any ware to get this issue resolved except perhaps contact
the folks at Freenet?
