IMHO it would significantly enhance Freenet's visual appeal if we made
minimalist the default theme. What needs to happen:
- Bookmarks need to be moved to a menu.
- For this to happen, we need to either flatten bookmarks (not a good idea
IMHO), or support multi-level menus.
- Supporting multi-level menus will require minor code changes but more
significant CSS changes. Anyone interested?
- Alternatively we could just rely on the activelinks. But there are
disadvantages - we'd need to either not support non-activelink bookmarks, or
list them separately, and we have the browser performance issues / psychology
of having to wait for small images to load very slowly when you first install
(for reasons you don't understand - *we* know that alinks pull in bigger
containers, but *new users* don't).
